Shipping Management
Dedicated Print Freight Broker, Every Project
Shipping, Impact On Costs
When analyzing a project's total cost, it becomes obvious shipping has a significant impact. Not only in the final shipping price but embedded in the cost from delivery of materials and components. Despite this, most major printing and binding facilities in the USA push aside the shipping aspect, rarely shopping for the best rates, not negotiating with brokers, carriers, or developing carrier routes. AP&B, we understand the importance of shipping, not only more cost-efficient, but faster, more reliably, and being throughout-more transparent.
Our Modern Shipping Systems Provide:
• Direct carrier contact, drastically reducing time to ship and cost to ship
• Real-time tracking of your LTL or FTL shipment anywhere in North America
• Vented, qualified drivers that know the routes, reducing chances of delays along the way
• Brokerage is available for components, materials, final delivery from production or warehouse
• Confirmation of delivery, LTL arrangements for lift-gate, and more

FAQ
Any limitation on box or pallet weight or size?
Boxes, unless previously agreed upon, must be 50 lbs or less. This is not only to protect our workers, but generally the best way to ship print without causing damage in transit (ltl or small parcel). Pallets generally should weight 1500 lbs or less, and should not be more than 55" tall. Please reach out to our team if weight or size restrictions are an issue for your team.
What about full truckload, unpalletized loads?
We can accept this inventory type as long as still in protective casing. An additional $45/hour will be applied to these shipments, billed in 15 minute increments. During this type of unload we will do a full inventory of box count by line item, included in the above billable rate.
Can we track inventory counts real time?
Yes, all warehouse users will have a visible inventory count. Please message our team for setting this up if not already available.
How many boxes are a half pallet? A full pallet?
The savings threshold for half pallet vs individual boxes is 8 boxes, for all standard size boxes. The threshold for half pallet vs full pallet is based on weight and size and what can safely be stacked on half a pallet. In the case of having a full half pallet, we will always store the remaining as single box units, until it is more cost effective and practical to put onto it's own pallet.
What means of payment do you accept? Do you offer terms?
We accept all major credit cards, check, wire transfer and ACH. For qualifying customers we do offer net terms for services rendered as well as shipping paid by AP&B.
Can we transition from warehouse to full fulfillment?
Yes, generally this is an easy process of transfer. Please contact AP&B warehouse team member, and we will get you transferred over.
Can we mix titles/SKU on a pallet?
Yes, upto 2 titles/SKU per pallet max. This is to help reduce your storage costs, as well as to ensure without increasing any chance of mixup on sku counts or placements.
How is inventory charged?
We track inventory real time, with inventory volume tracked daily at end of day, and charged end of each calendar month.
Why print and warehouse with AP&B?
If printing and binding with AP&B we remove the cost of inventory counting, in-bound, which is a major cost at most all warehouses big or small. We also manage shipment into our facility, at often drastically reduced rates compare to your print or bind vendor, and on the other end of that delivery is a team dedicated to managing only paper and bound materials.
